Idonea Privacy Policy

Your photos are processed only on your phone. Idonea never sends them to any server, ours or anyone else's. We don't have a copy of them and we can't see them.

1. Who we are

Idonea is an app by [PENDIENTE: owner or company name], located at [PENDIENTE: address] ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, email us at [PENDIENTE: contact email].

2. Your photos

Where they are processed: cropping, the plain background and the checks (framing, eyes, expression, lighting…) are done by image recognition models built into the app, which work offline. Your photo never leaves your device to be processed.
What we store: nothing on servers. While you use the app, the photo is kept in your phone's memory. When you download a photo or a print sheet, the app creates the file in its temporary folder so you can choose where to save it or who to share it with, using your system's share menu.
Face detection: the app locates your face and its features to size it to the document's rules and to warn you if something doesn't meet them. It doesn't create biometric profiles, doesn't identify anyone and doesn't keep that data after the photo is processed.

3. Permissions the app asks for

Camera: only to take the photo when you tap "Take photo".
Photos or gallery: only to pick the photo you select.
Internet: only for purchases (see section 5). Photos are never sent over the internet.

4. Data stored on your phone

So you don't have to choose them again, the app remembers on your device the last document you chose, the language and the print sheet size. You can delete them by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

5. Purchases

Payments are handled by the app store (Google Play or the App Store) with your account. We never see or store your payment details. To verify and restore your purchases we use RevenueCat, a purchase management provider, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, your Idonea purchase history in the store and the technical data needed to validate it (for example, platform, store country and currency). RevenueCat never receives your photos. Its privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. What we don't do

We don't ask you to create an account or collect your name, email or phone number.
We don't show ads or use tracking or analytics tools.
We don't sell or share data with third parties.

7. Legal basis and retention

We process purchase data because it's needed to provide what you bought (performance of a contract), and we keep it for as long as needed to manage your purchases and meet legal obligations, such as tax rules. Photos are not kept on any server because they never reach one.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, or request its restriction or portability, by emailing [PENDIENTE: contact email]. If you think we haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to ask us to delete it; we don't sell or share personal information.

9. Children

You can use Idonea to take a document photo of a child in your care. Like any other photo, it is processed only on your phone. The app is not intended to be used by children on their own.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version on this page with its date. If a change affects how your photos are handled, we'll also tell you in the app.
